Two villages in the Austrian Tyrol, caught between winter and the first thaw.

Fiss & Ladis

Notes on shooting in Fiss and Ladis.

Fiss and Ladis sit side by side above the Inn Valley in the Austrian Tyrol, close enough to share a ski lift but each with its own character. In late February the snowpack is deep, the light is long, and on a clear day the peaks behind the villages catch the last of the afternoon sun long after the valley has gone dark.
